What is your current profession; company?

I am the Co-Founder of ESM Sports, Park Avenue NIL, and ESM Golf. In my role as CEO and Sports Marketing Agent, I manage endorsements, appearances, and philanthropic efforts for prominent NFL players, NIL athletes, and brands, including figures like Jalen Hurts, Jordan Travis, and LPGA’s Ally Ewing.

Please describe your role & responsibilities at that position.

As a Sports Marketing Agent, my responsibilities encompass orchestrating strategic marketing initiatives for professional athletes. This includes securing endorsements, facilitating high-profile appearances, and championing their philanthropic endeavors, ensuring their personal brand and impact are effectively amplified and monetized.

What did you study in college and how did your educational background shape your career in the sports industry?

I pursued a degree in Business and Finance with a focus on Communication. This educational foundation equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of strategic business management and effective communication, essential for navigating and succeeding in the sports industry.

Can you share the key milestones in your career that led you to your current position in the sports industry?

Key milestones include the foundational stages of launching my own agency and progressively building a reputable presence within the industry. These experiences were pivotal in shaping my expertise and positioning me to influence the sports marketing landscape effectively.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a woman in sports business, and how have you overcome them?

One major challenge has been earning respect and overcoming the biases that come with being a woman in a male-dominated field. I’ve tackled this by consistently demonstrating my expertise and resilience, which has helped me gain the respect I deserve.

Balancing a career is demanding. How do you manage work-life balance? What strategies have worked well for you?

I focus on being fully present wherever I am. Whether I’m at work or with family, I try to give 100% of my attention to that moment. This approach helps me maintain a balance and stay engaged in both my professional and personal life.

How important is mentorship for women in the sports industry? Have you had mentors or role models who played a significant role in your career, and can you provide some details?

Mentorship is incredibly important. Women supporting and lifting each other up can make a huge difference. I’ve had the privilege of being inspired by mentors who emphasized the importance of celebrating and advocating for one another, which has been crucial in my own career. One major advocate has been NFL agent, Nicole Lynn and Sports Marketing agent, Jacquelyn Dahl.

In a male-dominated industry, do you feel women are given equal opportunities? What steps do you think can be taken to promote gender equality in the sports industry?

Unfortunately, equal opportunities aren’t always a reality. In my experience, women often don’t receive the same level of recognition as their male counterparts, even when they are the ones driving results. To address this, we need to focus on genuinely acknowledging and rewarding those who are making significant contributions, regardless of gender/

What aspects of your work in the sports industry do you enjoy the most? What parts do you find the most challenging?

I truly enjoy helping athletes build their brands and make a positive impact through their work. The most challenging aspect, though, is managing the personal and professional dynamics that come with it. Balancing personal values and business decisions can be tough, as it often feels like navigating a fine line between personal commitment and professional demands. Yet, it’s these challenges that also drive growth and innovation in my work.

What advice do you have for young women aspiring to build a successful career in the sports industry?

Start with a clear focus and be prepared to put in the hard work. Always aim to do the right thing and build a strong reputation. The industry might be small, but your integrity and dedication will set you apart.

What is your long-term personal goal that you still want to achieve, both business-wise and personally?

I aspire to create a Women’s LPGA Masters, a prestigious event that highlights and celebrates female golfers on a global stage.
