Please describe your role; responsibilities at that position?
Communications with a minor in P.S., while college experience meeting people, etc., getting involved in sorority & student government. Time management.
What did you study in college and how did your educational background shape your career in the sports industry?
My last internship was when a venue was about to open, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted to do. I got hired ro do ticket operations.
Can you share the key milestones in your career that led you to your current position in the sports industry? What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a woman in the sports business; how have you overcome them?
Understanding the goals of the company & your own. Wanna be a global destination with a local community feel.
Balancing a career is demanding. How do you manage a work -life balance? What strategies have worked well for you?
Be prepared and do your own research, ask questions, watch and listen. Healthy boundaries. – Self promotion.
How important is mentorship for women in the sports industry? Have you had mentors or role models who played a significant role in your career and can give some details?
Had people advocating for me but I have no mentor and I have a lot of peers. It is really to have these people to guide and support me with my goals.
In a male-dominated industry, do you feel women are given equal opportunities? What steps do you think can be taken to promote gender equality in the sports industry?
Hire a lot of women. Make an effort to hire diverse people from age, gender and background.
What aspects of your work in the sports industry do you enjoy the most? What parts do you find the most challenging?
Restructured my boundaries and prioritized my family. Knowing what you want.
What advice do you have for young women aspiring to build a successful career in the sports industry?
Know yourself, your worth and walk in with confidence, but be curious and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
What is your long-term personal goal that you still want to achieve both business wise and personal?
Walking around in the events and to see their faces creating memories. I hope to leave better than I started.
