Please describe your role & responsibilities at that position?

I manage a team of 6 Service Members who manage our Season Ticket Members in the Premium Club spaces. I also have a small book of clientele with the highest SSL ownership within our seating bowl.

What did you study in college and how did your educational background shape your career in the sports industry?

I studied communications with the thought of working in PR. It was truly my roles in other industries of providing service to a high net worth clientele that led me to my position in sports.

Can you share the key milestones in your career that led you to your current position in the sports industry?

What has truly guided me to my current position has been a consistent openness to learning and a willingness to contribute wherever I could. From the start, I knew I wanted to work in sports, and I understood that the best way to begin was simply by getting involved regardless of the specific role or department. I started in a gameday position and proactively monitored front office opportunities, eventually earning a place in a new program that allowed me to gain valuable experience across multiple departments.

Throughout my journey, I’ve remained committed to giving my best effort in every role, while building relationships with colleagues to broaden my perspective and understanding of the business. After gaining experience in service roles across several teams, I realized I was ready to return to a leadership position. I communicated this goal with my current manager, ensuring that my aspirations were clear while continuing to excel in my day-to-day responsibilities and demonstrate leadership qualities.

This included managing challenging client conversations and supporting my teammates either by offering guidance or helping them view situations through a different lens. These experiences not only strengthened my skills but also reinforced my passion for team development and operational leadership.

What are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as a woman in the sports business, & how have you overcome them?

One of the most significant challenges I’ve faced as a woman in the sports industry has been ensuring that my perspectives are heard and understood, particularly when presenting a different point of view. Navigating how to communicate with confidence and conviction, while also being mindful of how that assertiveness is perceived. My focus has been on expressing my ideas with clarity and strength, while fostering respectful and productive dialogue.

Balancing a career is demanding. How do you manage a work-life balance? What strategies have worked well for you?

In all honesty, this is something I continue to work on every day. For me, it starts with recognizing that not everything has to be accomplished in a single day—and that’s okay. It’s important to be intentional with the time we have outside of work and to prioritize activities that truly bring us fulfillment. That doesn’t always mean checking off a to-do list or running errands. Sometimes, it simply means giving yourself permission to rest and be still and understanding that taking that time is just as valuable.

How important is mentorship for women in the sports industry? Have you had mentors or role models who played a significant role in your career and can give some details?

I truly believe mentorship is one of the most valuable parts of any journey both in life and in your career. I’ve been really lucky to have incredible mentors, both men and women in sports, who have genuinely wanted the best for me and others around them. Many of them are still people I reach out to regularly, whether I need advice, perspective, or just someone to bounce ideas off.

One of my closest mentors even involved her own mother to help me with an application for a role I was really passionate about. It meant so much and reminded me how mentorship can extend far beyond just professional guidance. To this day, I still connect with her often, whether I’m facing a leadership challenge, need help refining a message, or just want another set of eyes on something I’m working on.

I don’t think there’s ever a point where we stop needing mentors. There’s always room to grow, learn, and see things from a new angle. The best part is mentorship isn’t just about receiving guidance it’s about building meaningful, lasting relationships that help you show up as your best self.

In a male-dominated industry, do you feel women are given equal opportunities? What steps do you think can be taken to promote gender equality in the sports industry?

This is a tough question, but I feel incredibly fortunate that the organizations I’ve been part of have genuinely supported women in sports. Each one has shown a clear commitment to not only creating space for women but also actively strengthening their presence across all levels of the industry. It’s been encouraging to be part of environments that value inclusion and are intentional about driving this progress.

What aspects of your work in the sports industry do you enjoy the most? What parts do you find the most challenging ?

One of the things I love most about working in sports is that, whether you’re on the field or in the front office, you’re part of a team working toward a shared goal creating unforgettable memories for fans and, ultimately, chasing a championship. That sense of purpose and unity is incredibly powerful.

At the same time, one of the biggest challenges is learning not to take everything to heart and finding your own sense of balance. Even the strongest client relationships can hit bumps, and it’s important to stay steady making sure the client feels heard while not letting tough moments shake your confidence.

Lastly balance is everything in this industry. While many assume the season is the busiest time, so much of the real work is done in the offseason. Find those quieter periods and make them a great opportunity to reset, plan, and refocus.

What advice do you have for young women aspiring to build a successful career in the sports industry?

The greatest piece of advice I can offer is to stay open minded to every opportunity that comes your way no matter how big or small it may seem. Every experience has the potential to teach you something valuable, introduce you to someone impactful, or lead you down a path you never expected. When you’re too narrowly focused on one specific role or outcome, you risk missing out on moments that could shape your career and personal growth in meaningful ways. Some of the most rewarding opportunities come from the places you least expect. Stay curious, stay open, and trust the journey.

What is your long-term personal goal that you still want to achieve both business wise and personal?

I’m focused on continuing to grow within the sports industry by embracing new and meaningful opportunities that align with both my professional goals and personal passions. Whether through leadership development, expanding my network, or global experiences through travel, and ensuring every step is adding value.
